A Cozy and Stylish Home
Today, the once-abandoned house has been completely transformed. It now features a bright and airy living room, a modern kitchen made with local Sicilian stone, and a cozy library that reflects Meredith’s love of reading.
Every detail has been thoughtfully designed to create a balance between rustic charm and contemporary style. Large windows and a Juliet balcony allow natural light to fill the home, while the outdoor patio provides stunning views of the surrounding hills, making the space both inviting and serene.

A Forever Home
Now, Meredith spends around four months each year enjoying her Italian retreat. The living room, with its vaulted ceilings and open feel, has become the heart of the home—perfect for relaxing or hosting friends and family.
She also treasures the outdoor space, where she can unwind and take in the peaceful scenery. Looking ahead, Meredith dreams of opening a gallery and guest house in the village, making her connection to Sambuca even stronger.
To add to the comfort of her home, she included a dry heat sauna, creating a perfect place to relax and recharge. Meredith’s journey shows that with vision and determination, even the most unlikely place can become a true forever home.
