John Prine has been heading an amazing musical career that began in the 1970s, being both a singer and songwriter. The man began learning how to play guitar when he was fourteen years old, having been taught by Chicago’s Folk’s Old Town School. Prine would take a sabbatical from music when he served in the then divided West Germany. Once his time in the army was over, he would return to Chicago where he would eventually encounter Kris Kristofferson, who would be so impressed by his sound that he would help Prine sign on with Atlantic Records.
