Chevrolet Dubl-Duti
Chevrolet was responsible for building the Dubl-Duti even though the body was designed and created by independent builders, who also incorporated a flat face cowl chassis. The one pictured here was probably a milk truck purchased by The Turnin’ hosts from Trent, a car collector. Interestingly, it may be the only truck of its kind still in existence around the world. A truck-related website noted there were only about 100 of these trucks manufactured, and the new owners are on a mission to restore it to the original form it was made. We are really anticipating the outcome.
Ford Model A Mail Truck
The Ford Model A Mail Truck was acquired by the US Postal Service back in 1928 and was utilized straight up to the 1940s. Both the Model A passenger chassis and the Model AA version were in operation at the time. There were a total of 4,300 Model A units that were being used by the Postal Service and came with either a funeral coach or an ambulance-type body. The Postal Service had a variety of cab types and were serviced and customized by independent companies.
